Our business at the DMC Consultancy is to support people and organisations of enterprise through our Magnificent Seven Consultancy programme. Fundraising, Finance & Business Plan Development
Every enterprise needs a business plan of some sort and some will be more detailed than others, some longer term and some more ambitious. We have a team that’s used to asking the right questions so that we can work with you to develop a realistic plan that proves a useful tool rather than an irrelevant exercise. From this we are able to signpost clients to suitable finance whether this be through private investors, loans, grants or other fundraising ideas and activities. In some cases we’ll even directly negotiate between you and your potential funders or investors, if it’s a truly enterprising and inspiring project.
For those in the voluntary sector we suggest as a first move, attending one of our hugely popular, ‘Fundraising & Capacity Building’ workshops, normally delivered by our senior consultant, Amal Douglas who is also a recognised member of the UK Institute of Fundraising.
Building the Corporate Profile
A lot of the good work that SME’s, charities and sole traders do goes to waste because of lack of a sound “corporate profile,” whether this be their media strategy, the website, physical location, mailing address, stationery, how telephones are answered or other communications are responded to. We look in depth at the many (including free) options available and what gives value for money while sending the right signals for each individual and unique client.
Staff Development
We think that staff training and development is key to the success of every organisation and so offer a wide range of services either through external one day workshops, in-house training, one-to-one surgeries and team building programmes. We have also developed targeted training for company directors and charity trustees who often get overlooked although they are the ones with ultimate responsibility, and need to be aware of their obligations, duties and ultimate liability. We work on key issues such as communication skills, diversity training & awareness, teamwork, management techniques, leadership development and fundraising skills.
Product Launches
Ideal for new businesses and new social projects or those wishing to make an entry into the UK market. Our team will look at the trade fairs, exhibitions, trade publications, e-commerce solutions, mailing lists and marketing strategies, as well as key players and associations that you need to be targeting in order to get the best result.
